Nothing beats a cold popsicle after hours out on the field, and our Melissa Rotary volunteers were thrilled to bring a little relief to our Melissa marching band members recently!
Six of our Rotarians jumped in to hand out cool treats to a bunch of very happy musicians as they wrapped up practice. It was a joy to see those smiling faces and to support the students who bring so much energy and spirit to our community.

Looking Ahead: 2026 5A/6A Marching Showcase
Our support for the band doesn't stop here! Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 26, 2026, for the 4th Annual Melissa Marching Showcase at the Coach Kenny Deel Stadium here in Melissa.
This year’s competition will feature:
Official Area Format: Using the 5A/6A UIL Area Format, including color guard commentary in both preliminaries and finals.
New for 2026: The top 12 schools will advance to the final round.
We love seeing our community come together for our students, and we look forward to cheering them on this fall.
