Melissa Rotary: People of Action 🌍💖
Every year, nearly 40 volunteers from the Melissa Rotary Club, the Interact Club, and local organizations came together at the LDS Church of Melissa to finish and ship 400+ dresses for Little Dresses for Africa. By providing dresses and supporting water, education, and community needs, they’re making a global impact—one dress at a time!
Last year the Melissa High School Interact Club pulled together materials and individuals in several shifts two Saturday workdays for their service project making Little Dresses for Africa. https://littledressesforafrica.org

This past summer, the Melissa Rotary Club and the Interact Club at Melissa High School joined forces with nearly 40 volunteers from local organizations to make a difference that reaches halfway across the world. Over several weekends at the LDS Church of Melissa, the team worked tirelessly to assemble, finish, and ship more than 400 dresses for children in need through Little Dresses for Africa.
Founded in 2008, Little Dresses for Africa supports vulnerable little girls while addressing critical community needs such as water, education, and local development. By partnering with village residents, the organization ensures that every contribution makes a meaningful difference.
Through this collaborative effort, Melissa Rotary and Interact are showing what it truly means to be People of Action—combining hands-on service with global impact to create lasting change for children and communities around the world.
