The Melissa High School Interact Club pulled together materials and nearly 40 people from their club and other organizations in several shifts both Saturday workdays for their service project making Little Dresses for Africa. https://littledressesforafrica.org
This year, the Interact Club, along with the Melissa Rotary Club and the Church of LDS, hosted two work days for this project, Saturday March 23, and Saturday April 6th.
Saturday, March 23, Interact and Rotary clubs started the day working on approximately 200 already-made dresses to make finishing adjustments. Those working on the project finished all but attaching binding for the last 50 and preparing dresses for shipment. This final work was done on April 6th and the Interact Club shipped almost 400 dresses to the LDFA headquarters for this year's project before the end of the school year.
