The Texas Special Olympics Summer Games are approaching, and Melissa Rotary is calling on the community to help support this inspiring event. Volunteers are needed for event and awards setup on April 29 and 30, track support on April 30, and event teardown on May 2.
No experience is required—just a willingness to serve. Community members, families, students, and local groups are encouraged to get involved and help create a positive and memorable experience for the athletes.

The Texas Special Olympics Summer Games are quickly approaching, and athletes across the state are training for a season filled with competition, courage, and joy. To help ensure a successful and memorable event, Melissa Rotary is inviting community members to step forward and serve as volunteers.
Volunteers play a vital role in creating a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment for the athletes. Their enthusiasm and dedication help bring each event to life while reinforcing the values of inclusion, teamwork, and determination that define the Special Olympics.
Melissa Rotary has identified several key opportunities where volunteers are especially needed. Event and awards setup will take place on Wednesday, April 29, and Thursday, April 30, with both days requiring all-day support. Additional help is needed for track events on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., as well as event teardown on Saturday, May 2, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
No prior experience is required to volunteer—only a willingness to help and a heart for service. Individuals, families, students, service organizations, and local businesses are all encouraged to participate.
