Melissa Rotary President Elect, Dana Conklin is recognized for her service to the community and club, leading the flag program to grow to over 1,000 flags distributed six times a year.Dana has led the Melissa Rotary Flag program from 2017 to 2024. In addition to organizing members of the Club as captains and workers to maintain and get out the flags, she has incorporated contractors, primarily youth organizations. This has helped others in the community to raise money for their service projects, as well as allowing the Melissa Rotary Club Foundation to support the community and the world in various Club projects.
The Flag Program maintains, stores, installs and picks up these 1,000 flags for subscribers in the Melissa community, providing hundreds of beautiful flags on display during six patriotic holidays.
The Melissa Rotary Club is always looking for volunteers to support the Flag Program, as well as other service projects in the community.
