The Texas Special Olympics Summer Games are coming up, and this is one of the most meaningful service opportunities of the year. Our athletes from across the state are preparing for an inspiring weekend of competition, and Melissa Rotary is stepping up to support them—but we need more helping hands from our community.

Jody Lytle was inducted as our newest member.
Darren Collins from Hands Up which started as a puppetry AIDS and HIV education program in Kenya now reaches millions of children on TV. Using entertainment for health education, child safety and disease prevention is not tackling intestinal worm diseases.
Bob Christianson spoke about Head for the Cure, a non-profit organization providing support for brain tumor support and resources. A walk to raise funds will be May 2 in Plano with a goal of $200,000. Ken presented the $2500 Phillip Morris donation to Head for the Cure.
